Mr. John O. Boakye became Director for Finance & Administration of MiDA in 2007. Prior to this appointment, he had been the Program Chief, Resource Management Bureau at the US Department of State since 2001. John has a vast experience in the accounting field, consisting of general accounting, financial statements, auditing, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Accounting as an option from the University of Ghana , and has a Master’s degree from George Mason University. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.John has worked extensively with many foreign companies since 1988. These include Touche Ross & Co., Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, MCI Telecommunications Incorporated, QWEST Communication Incorporated, Winstar Communications Incorporated and the United States Department of State. Throughout his career, John has received many honorary awards among which are the President’s Superior Honor Award for Lead Role in the Implementation of the Overseas Regional Financial Management System.>> Next
