Former President Kuffuor Launches Millennium Challenge Account Ghana(MCA-GHANA)

Former President Kufuor flanked by Her Excellency Pamela Bridgewater & Former Vice President Aliu Mahama cuts tape.At a colorful ceremony in Accra on August 16, 2006 President Kufuor launched Millennium Challenge Account Ghana (MCA-Ghana).Speaking at the ceremony, President Kufuor thanked President Bush and the citizens of the United States for “the friendly and humanitarian gesture” in giving the people of Ghana a helping hand to move “from poverty to a life of dignity and prosperity”. He charged selected beneficiaries to show “exemplary commitment” so that the same opportunity could be offered to other regions and other sectors. |
