Dr. Isaac Bonsu Karikari

Dr. Isaac Bonsu Karikari is the Land Administration Project Manager of MiDA,holds a Diploma in Estate Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University for Science and Technology, a Master’s Degree from the ITC, Enschede, Netherlands in Geo-Information Systems for Urban Applications, Netherlands and a PhD from the University of Leeds, U.K.Isaac was elected a Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) in 2006. In 2007 he became a Member of the Governing Council; and until 2008, was the Chairman of the Board of Examiners, Estate and Valuation Surveying Division.He began his career as an Assistant Lands Officer for the Greater Accra Regional Office, Lands Commission in 1989 and rose through the ranks to become the Regional Lands Officer for the Volta, Eastern and Greater Accra Regions. He became the Land Commission’s Team Leader of the World Bank’s Supported Land Administration Project in 2004. In 2005 he became an Advisor on the Land Component of the MCA Ghana Program.Dr. Karikari has jointly contributed to Book Chapters and Case Studies on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Land and has contributed a number of publications in International Journals.He has attended various workshops and has been a resource person on a number of issues related to Land and in application of the GIS in Ghana. He has also been a resource person in many seminars and workshops organized internationally.Dr. Karikari’s interests are Christian evangelism, writing, reading and sports. >> Next
